If you would like to try or to use Teapop all you need to do is get the latest tar-ball with the sources. No registration is necessary nor will any questions be asked. You do however need to have a decent C-compiler installed, such as gcc. Some of the extended features might require you to install third-party software. For more information about the actual installation process, follow these steps:

  • Download the latest tar-ball
  • Uncompress the tar-ball: gzip -cd teapop-latest.tar.gz | tar xf -
  • Read the file doc/INSTALL: more doc/INSTALL

To build your own rpm file, follow these steps:

  • Download the latest tar-ball
  • Rename it: mv teapop-latest.tar.gz teapop-0.3.5.tar.gz
  • Make the rpm: rpm -tb teapop-0.3.5.tar.gz or rpmbuild -tb teapop-0.3.5.tar.gz depending of your rpm version, newer versions have the rpmbuild command.
